Mushroom

The pale that designers reach for when nothing else feels right. Within the High-end Paint range, Mushroom carries warm pigment that flatters timber, brass and linen and taupe undertones — muted and earthy in overall character. We see Mushroom specified most often for principal bedrooms and north-aspect bathrooms and bedrooms. Sits comfortably next to terracotta floors, oak joinery and unbleached cotton. Borrows its character from modern farmhouse interiors and re-reads them in a modern context.

FAQs about Mushroom

Questions clients ask about this shade

Does Mushroom hold up in north-facing rooms?+

Yes — Mushroom carries enough warm pigment that it doesn't go flat or grey in cool daylight. The taupe undertone is what stops it bleaching out.

What sheen options come in Mushroom?+

Mushroom is tinted into your choice of dead-matt, soft eggshell or low-sheen satin. For rooms with high handling — hallways, kitchens — we'd usually recommend eggshell.

What does Mushroom pair with from your range?+

We most often pair Mushroom with the three closest shades in its family — see the pairings panel below. Beyond that, it plays well with oak, brass, linen, brushed nickel and unpolished plaster.
