Garage floors

Garage Flooring — Epoxy, Polyaspartic & Resin Systems

A garage floor takes hot-tyre pickup, dropped tools, brake fluid and constant grit. We install epoxy, polyaspartic and full resin build-ups sized to how the garage is actually used — from single-car domestic garages to workshops and mechanic bays.

Where this works

  • Domestic garages & car ports
  • Home gyms & bike stores
  • Workshops & MOT bays
  • Dealership showroom floors
  • Kart & motorsport prep bays

How we install it

  1. 1
    Diamond-grind & moisture test

The slab is diamond-ground to open the surface profile and a calcium-chloride or hygrometer test is done. Anything over spec gets a moisture-tolerant primer.

  2. 2
    Crack & joint repair

Static cracks are stitched with resin and quartz. Movement joints are honoured and re-cut on top of the coating so they don't telegraph as failures later.

  3. 3
    Primer + build coats

A penetrating epoxy primer soaks in, then 1–2 build coats are applied wet-on-wet with roller. Optional decorative flake or coloured quartz is broadcast into the wet coat.

  4. 4
    Non-slip & seal

Aluminium oxide or fine quartz is worked into the top coat where slip resistance is needed, then a clear polyaspartic or 2K polyurethane seal locks it in.

Common pitfalls we prevent

Cheap DIY epoxy peeling in hot-tyre marks — cured by moving to polyaspartic or 100% solids epoxy
Coating failure over damp slabs — solved with a moisture-mitigating primer
Slippy floors when wet — solved with a fine aggregate broadcast sized to how the garage is used

Frequently asked

How long does a garage epoxy floor last?+

A correctly prepared and specified epoxy or polyaspartic garage floor typically holds up for 10–15 years in a domestic garage. Workshops and MOT bays are usually re-topped every 5–8 years due to grit abrasion.

Can you coat a new-build concrete slab?+

Yes, once the slab has cured. New concrete needs to be at least 28 days old and moisture-tested. A moisture-tolerant primer is used if readings are marginal.

Is it slippery when wet?+

It doesn't have to be. We broadcast a fine aggregate into the wet top coat to hit R11 or R12 slip resistance without making the floor hard to sweep.

Can you fix a peeling old epoxy floor?+

Yes. We diamond-grind back to sound substrate, patch any laitance-damaged areas, and re-coat with a system rated for the substrate condition.
