Sage Wash

In the Natural Limewash range, Sage Wash reads as herbal, cloud-soft pale green, built on true-neutral undertones that don't fight other materials and soft sage pigment. Pale-but-pigmented: closer to a wash than a flat coat. We see Sage Wash specified most often for principal bedrooms and ensuites. Owes a small debt to English country, but doesn't ask the rest of the room to follow. It sits comfortably alongside aged brass, walnut, natural rattan and unbleached linen.

FAQs about Sage Wash

Questions clients ask about this shade

Does Sage Wash hold up in north-facing rooms?+

Yes — Sage Wash carries enough tonal weight that it doesn't go flat or grey in cool daylight. The soft sage undertone is what stops it bleaching out.

How does Sage Wash age over time?+

Sage Wash develops a softer, slightly more powdery character as the limewash cures over the first 2–4 weeks. After that it stays stable but takes on the patina of handling and light.

What does Sage Wash pair with from your range?+

We most often pair Sage Wash with the three closest shades in its family — see the pairings panel below. Beyond that, works alongside burr-walnut, antique brass and bottle-green velvet.
