Sandstone

Light without being clinical — it keeps a quiet sense of warmth. Sandstone is warm, mid-toned sandstone — a liquid stone shade with a warm undertone you can feel across the room and clear amber-tan undertones. We see Sandstone specified most often for rendered façades and south-facing kitchens that handle warmer light. It works beautifully with terracotta, brick, hand-thrown ceramics and warm timbers. The lineage is Mediterranean villa, but the way it sits on a wall is unmistakably current.

FAQs about Sandstone

Questions clients ask about this shade

Does Sandstone hold up in north-facing rooms?+

Yes — Sandstone carries enough warm pigment that it doesn't go flat or grey in cool daylight. The amber-tan undertone is what stops it bleaching out.

Can Sandstone be used outside as well as inside?+

Yes — Liquid Stone in Sandstone is rated for interior and exterior use. For exterior elevations we add a weather-protective topcoat rated for UK rainfall.

What does Sandstone pair with from your range?+

We most often pair Sandstone with the three closest shades in its family — see the pairings panel below. Beyond that, it works beautifully with terracotta, brick, hand-thrown ceramics and warm timbers.
