Decorative Epoxy Flooring — Flake, Quartz & Metallic Systems
Decorative epoxy is where a working coating turns into a design surface. We install flake broadcast, coloured quartz and pigmented metallic epoxy systems — durable and cleanable, but genuinely a floor people notice.
Where this works
- Retail & showrooms
- Home gyms & entertainment rooms
- Bars, restaurants & hospitality
- Salon & studio floors
- Feature garages & car storage
How we install it
- 1Choose the look on a test panel
Flake, quartz and metallic all move around during install. We do a 1 m² test panel on the actual slab so what you approve is what you get.
- 2Base + broadcast or metallic pour
Flake and quartz are broadcast into a pigmented base coat until refusal. Metallic is a poured self-leveller with pigment worked in with a leaf-blower or torch for movement.
- 3Grind & seal
Flake / quartz floors are lightly ground back to knock down high points, then sealed with 2K PU. Metallic gets 2–3 coats of PU to protect the depth.
Common pitfalls we prevent
Frequently asked
How long does a decorative epoxy floor last?+
10–15 years with a light abrasion and re-seal at year 7–10 in a domestic setting. Commercial cycles are shorter.
Can I use metallic epoxy in a bathroom?+
Yes — with an R11 aggregate broadcast into the top coat and a proper tanked substrate underneath in wet zones.
