Outdoor Epoxy & Resin Flooring
Standard epoxy chalks and yellows outdoors — the wrong chemistry for anything exposed. Outdoors we use UV-stable polyurethane and polyaspartic systems that hold colour and stay flexible through freeze-thaw.
Where this works
- Balconies & terraces
- External walkways & stairs
- Roof decks & podiums
- Pool surrounds
- External garage forecourts
How we install it
- 1Falls & drainage
External surfaces need to fall to drain — we check and correct falls before applying any coating. Standing water kills any resin system eventually.
- 2Detailing at upstands
Reinforcing scrim at every upstand, threshold and gulley. This is the failure point on every outdoor resin — done right, the system lasts.
- 3UV-stable top coat
Aliphatic PU or polyaspartic top coat in the colour chosen. Two coats for balconies, three for roof decks.
Common pitfalls we prevent
Frequently asked
Will an outdoor resin floor last through UK winters?+
Yes — UV-stable PU and polyaspartic systems are rated well beyond UK freeze-thaw. It's the detailing at upstands and drains that determines real-world life, not the top coat itself.
Is it slippery in the rain?+
Not with a fine aggregate broadcast. We hit R11 as standard for outdoor walkways and R12 for wet pool surrounds.
