Car Park Resin Flooring — Deck Coatings & Line-Marking
Multi-storey and podium car parks live under freeze-thaw, road salt and constant tyre torque. We install waterproofing wear-coat systems — elastomeric polyurethane with crack-bridging membranes — that keep decks watertight and safe for a full life cycle.
Where this works
- Multi-storey car park decks (BS EN 1504-2 compliant)
- Podium decks over occupied space
- Ramps & spiral turns
- Roof-level decks (UV-stable top coat)
- Retail and hospital car parks
How we install it
- 1Survey & crack map
The deck is surveyed, cracks mapped, joints assessed. Live joints stay live — sealed with semi-rigid PU sealant, not bridged.
- 2Waterproofing base
Two coats of elastomeric PU membrane, fully bonded, dressed up all upstands with reinforcing scrim.
- 3Aggregate wear coat
PU wear coat with graded aggregate broadcast to hit R11 in bays and R12 on ramps.
- 4UV-stable top coat & lines
Aliphatic PU top coat locks the aggregate in and gives colour. Line-marking is applied last in cold-plastic or MMA.
Common pitfalls we prevent
Frequently asked
Can you install while the car park stays partly open?+
Yes — most installs are phased bay-by-bay or floor-by-floor so the car park stays operational. Cure windows are typically overnight.
How long does a car park deck coating last?+
10–15 years typical, with a mid-life maintenance top coat at 7–10 years. Line-marking is refreshed on a shorter cycle.
Do you do the line-marking as well?+
Yes. Cold-plastic or MMA lines are part of the same package so you get one contractor to a warrantied handover.
