Oat N5

In the Microcement range, Oat N5 reads as warm-grain neutral, built on with a soft warmth that suits low daylight and biscuit pigment. It works beautifully with terracotta, brick, hand-thrown ceramics and warm timbers. On site, Oat N5 ends up most often in open-plan kitchens, with snugs and reading rooms a close second. Pale-but-pigmented: closer to a wash than a flat coat. Owes a small debt to modern rustic, but doesn't ask the rest of the room to follow.

FAQs about Oat N5

Questions clients ask about this shade

Does Oat N5 hold up in north-facing rooms?+

Yes — Oat N5 carries enough warm pigment that it doesn't go flat or grey in cool daylight. The biscuit undertone is what stops it bleaching out.

Is Oat N5 suitable for a shower or wet-room?+

Oat N5 can be specified for wet-rooms with our standard microcement wet-zone build: primer, two base coats with reinforcing mesh, two finishing coats, then a tanking membrane and two coats of polyurethane sealer. The colour itself doesn't change suitability — finish and sealer do.

What does Oat N5 pair with from your range?+

We most often pair Oat N5 with the three closest shades in its family — see the pairings panel below. Beyond that, it works beautifully with terracotta, brick, hand-thrown ceramics and warm timbers.
