How we install it
- 1Plan the household first
Before we talk build up we agree which rooms come out of use and when, where the washing machine goes, and which days you cannot have solvent smell in the house.
- 2Protect and isolate
Zip walls, taped protection on routes, extraction on every grinder. The prep day is the dusty one and we plan it for a day you can be out if you would rather.
- 3Apply around family life
Bathrooms are done in one continuous run so you are not without a shower longer than the programme says. Kitchen floors are sequenced so the appliances go back on a known date.
- 4Hand over properly
You get the sealer sheet, the cleaning products that suit it, and a straight answer on what will and will not mark it.

Can we stay in the house during the work?+
In most homes yes. We work room by room, protect the routes and use extraction on the dusty stages. The only real constraint is the sealer days, when the room needs to stay empty and ventilated.
Is microcement good with children and dogs?+
It is a hard mineral surface with no grout to stain, which suits family life. Claws can leave fine marks in a satin sealer over time, and those are dealt with by a maintenance coat rather than a repair.
How much disruption is a bathroom?+
Around four to six working days from first prep to sealed, with the shower out of use for seven days from the last coat. There is no tile strip out if the existing tiles are sound, which usually saves two days and a skip.
Does it add much height to the floor?+
Two to three millimetres plus primer, so doors rarely need trimming and thresholds to carpet or timber stay simple.
What if we damage it later?+
Small chips and scratches are repairable in place. We keep a record of your pigment and batch so a repair or a later extension can be matched rather than guessed.
