London
Microcement, limewash and high-end paint across all London postcodes — terraces, mews, mansion-block flats and rear extensions.
London is more than half of our annual work. The bulk of it is Victorian and Edwardian housing stock from Hackney down to Clapham, plus mansion-block flats in Marylebone, Maida Vale and Kensington, plus a steady stream of rear-extension and basement renovations. The work splits cleanly: limewash on the original lime-plastered rooms in the period parts, microcement in the new-build extensions and renovated bathrooms. Access is the constant — we plan parking permits, lift bookings, and noisy-work hours into every London quote, because the difference between a smooth London install and a difficult one is logistical, not technical.
Victorian and Edwardian terraces, mansion-block flats, mews houses, basement and side-return extensions, new-build apartments in Battersea, Nine Elms and the Royal Docks.
London designers and architects are usually working in a contemporary-meets-period register — the original cornice and the new poured-concrete kitchen island on the same drawing. Microcement in the kitchen and bathroom plays into that. Limewash plays into the period side.
- Microcement in side-return kitchen extensions, floor and splashback in one continuous run.
- Wet-room conversions in mansion-block bathrooms with limited substrate options.
- Limewashed walls in principal bedrooms of stripped-back Victorian terraces.
- High-end matt paint specs for designer-led full-house refurbishments.
- Microcement on basement floors with cementitious tanking specs.
A Stockwell Victorian terrace: limewash in the front parlour and principal bedroom (over original lime plaster, restored), microcement throughout the new rear extension (kitchen floor, splashback wall, downstairs WC), high-end paint everywhere else. Two-week programme, single point of contact.
London projects carry no travel surcharge. Most jobs are within 45 minutes of our base. We plan around the ULEZ and the relevant council's parking-bay suspension lead times.
Do you work across all London postcodes?+
Yes — we work across all 32 boroughs plus the City. The bulk of our work is W, SW, N and E postcodes, but we travel happily to the outer commuter belt.
Can you work in occupied properties?+
Yes — most of our London work is in occupied homes. We dust-sheet thoroughly, run a separate access route for materials where possible, and schedule the noisiest stages around the household.
Is microcement allowed in a leasehold mansion flat?+
Generally yes, with managing-agent consent. The system is dry-applied, doesn't increase floor height significantly, and doesn't change loadings. We've helped clients prepare the alterations consent paperwork for several London estates.
